Solid Food for the first time!
We went to the pediatrician about 2 weeks ago for Avery's 4 month checkup. She has grown so much, she weighed 13lbs 13oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. Crazy, she is over 2 feet tall! Avery still wasn't sleeping through the night, so the pediatrician recommended starting rice cereal. So we tried it on halloween day. At first she didn't know what to do with it, but then got the hang of it. We since have switched to oatmeal, she likes it alot better. We are sooo happy to say that out of the past 6 nights, she has slept through the night 5 of them. Hopefully this will continue to be a trend, Lance and I will be alot happier!

Pumpkin Patch
We went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze a few weeks ago, am just now getting a chance to post pictures. Avery and her cousin, Matt had matching pumpkin outfits from their grandparents. Below is the best picture I got. Avery didn't like the outfit too much, all the pictures of her are screaming! We had a great time and it helped us start off the fall season!

Baptism and Beach
The family at my Baptism
My Great-Great Grandmother made my bonnet and my Grandma made my dress!

With my Grandma, Paw Paw, and my cousin Matt at the beach
I love my pacifier!
Not to sure about this water thing!
I am finally getting some time to sit and write this blog. We have been busy and I am back to work, so I am trying to get it all adjusted! Avery did so well at her Baptism. We went to Hilton Head, where my Dad has his church so Avery could be Baptized by her Grandfather. Lance's family came, my brother came from Texas and we had a great time. Avery did so good during the service, she didn't cry once and slept right through Dad putting the water on her. She did get fussy afterwards during the pictures, so we don't have a whole lot of calm pictures!
We also had some time to go to the beach while we were there. It was Avery's first time. She seemed to enjoy it, she slept through most of it. She didn't know what to about the wind hitting her face, she just kept squishing up her nose, it was super cute. Then we put her in the water up to her butt. She was fine until a wave came and crashed on her and she got scared, but quickly recovered. We can't wait until she is older and can really play at the beach. (Well, maybe we can wait, she is growing up so fast! )

Avery's been busy
Stone Mountain laser show
Eatin' out at Stone Mountain
Almost got a smile on camera!
Avery certainly has been busy over the past couple of weeks, the reason for so long since the last post. She experienced her first Georgia game day. Her Uncle Brett, Aunt Pam and cousin Matt came over to help cheer the bulldogs on to victory. She was proud to wear her red and black. Then we went to the Stone Mountain laser show and she did great. She loved watching all the people and slept right through the fireworks ( it could be the cotton balls and 4 blankets I put over her ears! ). Avery loves being outside, so she had a blast. This past weekend we had Avery's baptism and her first trip to the beach, post to come.

2nd week home
Playing with my toys!
We are now finishing up our 2nd week at home and it is going better than the first week and hopefully next week will be better than this week. Avery is becoming more organized now and following a schedule. She still isn't sleeping through the night, but hopefully will be close to it before I have to go back to work! She still really likes her swing and has really been playing more purposefully now. She coos and follows objects and is doing great with her tummy time. She is holding her head up pretty much on her own now. She is excited that today is Georgia's first game and is having fun on game day! (pics to come on the next post). Off to watch the Dawgs play...
